Description:
This project is for a contractor to provide and install roof anchors on multiplebuildings on the UNT Health Science Center (UNTHSC) campus located at 3500 CampBowie Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas.This project is for installation of mechanically fastened roof anchors onfour (4) campus buildings that range from four (4) to six (6) stories per thecampus engineer drawings included. These buildings require window washing byhanging scaffolds.Roof anchors must becapable of supporting a minimum load of 5,000 pounds per worker attached. Currentlyand in the past, scaffolding has been supported by counterweights.The buildings that the roof anchors will be installed on are the Carl E.Everett Education & Administration (EAD), Health Pavilion (HP), Gibson D.Lewis Library (LIB), Research & Education (RES). The vendor will need toprovide certification of the work to UNTHSC as well as all regulatory bodies andcomply with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) requirements.Anticipated start date is Summer 2025;the substantial completion of thisproject is expected no later than Spring of 2026.
