Description:
The objective of theassignment is to update the World Bank's Approach Paper on a Country Policy Framework to:Incorporate the changes andadvances made through the international negotiations to reflect the mostupdated provisions related to the implementation of Article 6;Expand the policy frameworkbeyond Article 6.2, integrating the role of Article 6.4, other internationalmitigation purposes such as CORSIA, and voluntary carbon markets; Populate the schedules ofthe policy framework document with additional guidance and detail based on the ApproachPapers and knowledgereports published through the World Bank-s Climate Warehouseprogram; andStreamline and simplify thepolicy framework to make it more user friendly, recognizing the diversity ofcountry contexts in which it may be applicable by clearly outlining therequired inputs for the document to be customized and applied at the nationallevel. In addition toupdating the Approach Paper, the consultant is expected to apply the updatedcountry policy framework in at least two countries to demonstrate itsapplicability to different contexts.
