Description:
Purpose The Town of Cambridge (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following project: Culvert Replacement on the Upper Pleasant Valley Road. Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Town Municipal Offices located at 85 Church Street, Jeffersonville, VT 05464, until 8/5/2025 at 4:00 p.m. Bids will be reviewed at the Regular Selectboard meeting on August 5, 2025. The award will be announced on August 6, 2025. Location TH-5 Upper Pleasant Valley Road, 2.8 miles south of VT 108 Coordinates 44.61034, -72.85644 Scope • Replacement of a 48” CMP with an 81” X 59” Pipe Arch to be supplied by the owner, following Hydraulic Study provided by the owner. • Stone headwalls with stones, if needed, are located at the town gravel pit located at 1225 Stebbins Road. Owner will load the stones, but trucking will be provided by the contractor. • Aggregates will be supplied and stored at the town gravel pit. Loading aggregates will be by the owner but trucking will be provided by the contractor. • Unsuitable soils will be hauled to the town gravel pit by the contractor or otherwise directed by the owner. • Pavement replacement to match existing thickness to be determined by owner/contractor during excavation and to be included separately and as a lump sum bid • Condition of existing CMP will determine final storage/disposal determined by the owner The Project has a contractual duration of 30 days. Construction of all work must be completed before September 22, 2025. This project is being funded by the Town of Cambridge and the State of Vermont and therefore all local, state, and federal laws and regulations must be followed. Pre-bid Conference A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on 7/29/2025 at 11:00 a.m. at TH-5 Upper Pleasant Valley Road, 2.8 miles south of VT 108 Coordinates 44.61034, -72.85644.
