The due date for quotes remains unchanged: Tuesday, July 14, 2025, 10:00am PT.***No further questions will be accepted***1. Forklift Availability - Will USGS provide a forklift at either the origin or destination or should the contractor plan to supply one?ANSWER: No, we cannot supply one. In one of the two destinations, 904 W. Riverside Ave, Spokane, we also cannot use a forklift so work will need to be completed using pallet jacks, carts, or other non-forklift methods.2. Rack Installation - Will shelving/racking units at the destination need to be anchored to the floor? Also, are the final addresses of the destination warehouses available?ANSWER: Possibly. If so, it will be pallet racks and no more than 4 uprights so likely not more than 8 anchor points at the destination. Currently, they are anchored with one anchor wedge at each foot or anchor point.Yes, the final addresses of the destinations are available. We don't have a perfect idea of what will go where yet, although we do have a pretty good idea in general.Palletized materials (mostly rock samples) will go to a location in at 120 G Street, Cheney, WA.Other materials will go to one of 3 rooms in our downtown building at 904 W. Riverside Ave., Spokane, WA.We are providing photos of the 904 W Riverside destination.3. Inventory Valuation - Is there a required liability coverage level for the government inventory?ANSWER: Please see the Liability Insurance clause.4. Destination Floor Plan or Staging Plan - Some items appear unlabeled or without clear destination instructions in the provided images. Is there a staging diagram, placement guide, or labeling system available?ANSWER: At this time, no. This is an evolving situation, and we don't know what will fit where at this moment.
