THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCEThe US Air Force Academy (USAFA), Commodities and Services Flight, 10th Contracting Squadron intends to award a single source contract for the purchase of:
Two continuous-wave (CW) single-frequency tunable diode lasers (Toptica - DLC TA PRO "NIR") in a system with the following salient characteristics/specifications: Laser 1 (Oscillator + Tapered Amplifier): Output power ≥ 2.5 W at 882 nm. Laser 2 (Oscillator Only): Output power ≥ 90 mW at 882 nm. Performance specifications: Tuning Range: Minimum 80% of rated power across the 840-885 nm range. Controller: Integrated computerized controller with frequency tuning and locking. Linewidth: ≤ 100 kHz. Resonator: Laser resonator machined from a single block of aluminum (Al). Single-Mode Scan Range: Continuous single-mode scanning ≥ 20 GHz, mode-hop free. Fiber Output: FC/APC fiber optic output coupler with single-mode polarization-maintaining (SMPM) fiber. Controller: Integrated computerized controller with frequency tuning and locking. Linewidth: ≤ 100 kHz. Resonator: Laser resonator machined from a single block of aluminum (Al). Single-Mode Scan Range: Continuous single-mode scanning ≥ 20 GHz, mode-hop free.
