Decipher Prostate testing services. Decipher Prostate test is a tissue-based gene expression test utilizing whole-transcriptome microarray technology to assess the underlying biology of a patient s tumor. This test is performed on prostate tumor tissue from biopsy or radical prostatectomy. The Decipher Prostate is recommended in the NCCN Guidelines (National Comprehensive Cancer Network), and the test is used to determine how likely the patient s cancer is to metastasize within the next five years and ten years. Based on the results, the physician may recommend less intensive treatment or earlier, more intensive treatment.
