Special NoticeSpecial NoticePage 2 of 2*= Required FieldSpecial NoticePage 1 of 2NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCEThe Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to award asole source, firm fixed price contract to Cytopath Biopsy Lab (CBLPath), located at 760 Westchester Ave, Rye Brook, NY, 10573, to provide services for the Thyroseq v3 Genomic Classifier Testing for the VISN (including the Asheville, Durham, Fayetteville, Hampton, Richmond, Salem and Salisbury VA Medical Centers). It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the authorized service provider of the services for the Thyroseq v3 Genomic Classifier Testing. The molecular test used for evaluating indeterminate thyroid nodules should have high specificity and sensitivity for malignancy, high predictive value, and should employ an extensive panel of thyroid-related gene mutations for detection. Using any other supplier would result in duplicated costs that would not be recovered through competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Market research has determined that these items can only be obtained from a single source without an unacceptable duplication of cost or delay in the continuity of patient care. No solicitation documents are available, and telephone requests will not be accepted.However, any business that believes it can provide the services for the Thyroseq v3 Genomic Classifier Testing for molecular testing on Thyroid nodules may give written notice to lakeva.cousins@va.gov, by 10:00am EDT on September 4, 2025. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement.
