The current system, installed over a decade ago, is no longer reliable, poses safety concerns, and is unable to perform as intended due to design flaws, poor material choices, and lack of ongoing maintenance provisions.Existing ConditionsThe existing air handling and fire suppression systems are over 10 years old.The systems were installed without appropriate service access panels, preventing adequate maintenance and cleaning.The air handler dampers have rusted in fixed positions, impairing airflow and disabling the smoke purge function.Internal coil surfaces cannot be accessed or cleaned due to poor design, resulting in significant buildup of dust and debris and reduced efficiency.Materials used in the initial installation have proven to be unsuitable, contributing to system deterioration.No extended warranty or service agreement has been in place since the initial one-year warranty expired.
