This announcement is a Sources Sought Notice. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to determine interest and capability of potential businesses. The information obtained from this notice is for market research only and will be used to determine the method of procurement including whether to set-aside the requirement for small business or other set-aside programs.
The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) is seeking to award a requirements type contract on a sole source basis to American Vulkan Corporation (AVC) with fixed price delivery orders for couplings and elements used on Seaside Buoy tender (WLB-225), Coastal Buoy tender (WLM-175), Medium endurance cutter (WMEC-270), Inland construction tender (WLIC-160) and River Buoy (WLR-75/65) tender class vessels using genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. A sole source contract with five one-year ordering periods is anticipated for award. The NAICS Code is 333612 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. SFLC requires the purchase of AVC couplings and elements which is configured on WLB-225, WLM-175, WMEC-270, WLIC-160, WLIC-75 and WLR-75-65 class vessels with parts being manufactured by AVC.
