Description:
The City of Papillion is seeking Letters of Interest and Qualifications for the Design -Build Project, Walnut Creek Shop Addition. The City shall select at least three prospective design-builders. The selected Design-Builders will then be considered prequalified and eligible to received requests for proposals.The City of Papillion is proposing the construction of a new heated storage building to address current space limitations and prepare for future growth. We are looking for a strong, durable structure that will last 50 to 100 years or more, ensuring it remains a valuable asset for decades to come. The building will be located on city-owned property and will serve to bring all mowers, vehicles, and essential equipment indoors, protecting them from the elements and extending their usable life. This will not only improve operational efficiency but also enhance safety and reduce long-term maintenance costs.The building will have a footprint of approximately 120 feet by 50 feet and will be constructed from the ground up, starting with a concrete foundation. The primary goal is to maximize the amount of heated storage space within this footprint to meet both our current and future needs. While there will be no water service to the building initially, we plan to include a rough-in for a future bathroom and full electrical outfitting to accommodate future upgrades. This project is a critical investment in our city-s infrastructure and is intended to support the growth and operational demands of Papillion well into the future.
