Description:
General work description:The County of Sacramento (“County”), is soliciting proposals for the Walnut Grove Over Sacramento River BPMP. This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation for proposers to submit a proposal to the County. The County requests proposals from perspective consulting firms for the following: Determine the scope of work of any repairs that are needed to address deficiencies with the current bridge and extend the lifespan of the structure.Design any required improvements identified as preventive maintenance or repairs.Geotechnical services to support the scoping and design of the maintenance, as needed. Consultant services to perform an independent check of the plans, technical specifications, and estimate for the design of the improvements.Bidding and construction support. The proposed improvements shall include, but may not be limited to, the following:Replacing or patching any concrete deficiencies.Investigating any needs for rock rip-rap around abutments and/or headwall.Replace bridge deck. Trim leaves as necessary to ensure opening and closing functionality.Repairing structural steel in the trusses.Upgrading electrical system hardware.Repairing or replacing center lock motor or components including any bracket modifications required.Any other preventive maintenance recommended from reviews of the Bridge Inspection Report and any field visits.
