Description:
Description The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) seeks a contractor to conduct an extensive survey of exotic bark beetles across multiple counties in Iowa. The project involves setting up, servicing, and collecting samples from Lindgren Funnel traps at over 100 sites, including locations such as Adair WMA, Lake Ikaria, Yellow River State Forest, Honey Creek/Lake Rathbun, and many others. Contractors will follow USDA Forest Service protocols to detect non-native bark beetles that pose ecological and economic risks. Tasks include biweekly servicing, sample collection, and final reporting. This comprehensive effort aims to detect and address potential exotic bark beetle infestations, safeguarding Iowa-s forestry resources and biodiversity. See RFP for bidding location.
