1. Purpose:
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice for MARKET RESEARCH purposes only. The Department of the Navy, NAVFAC Far East, Japan, is conducting market research to identify potential challenges and obstacles faced by contractors when bidding on or performing under waste disposal contracts similar to the type required at Naval Air Facility, Atsugi. This information will inform the development of future solicitations and acquisition strategies. This notice does NOT constitute a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote, or Invitation for Bid, and is not a commitment by the Government to award a contract.

The Navy requires comprehensive waste determination and disposal process support at NAF Atsugi. Specific information available in draft Performance Work Statement (PWS).
