Description:
The purpose of this request for applications is to establish an agreement with 1 Local Agency to provide WIC clinic services in Lauderdale County. A Local Agency is defined as a public or private, nonprofit health or human service agency which provides health services, either directly or through contract, in accordance with 7 CFR 246.5. Applicants must be a public or private nonprofit health agency that provides ongoing, routine pediatric or obstetric care and administrative services. The Local Agency agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of the WIC Program Regulations of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) including services mandated by federal regulations 7 CFR 246, 7 CFR 15, 28 CFR 35 and 28, CFR 36 and the Mississippi State Department of Health WIC Program Policies and Procedures. The Local Agency must have a stationary location in Lauderdale County capable of serving approximately 2,000 WIC participants.
