- The Town of Brattleboro is seeking sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of a retaining wall and associated work on Williams Street in Brattleboro, Vermont. The project is located directly behind 436 Western Avenue (Vermont Country Deli building) on Williams Street in Brattleboro, Vermont. The project is generally described as excavation of existing wall and earth to expose ledge, confirmation of competent rock, installation and pullout testing of rock anchors, construction of 39 ft of new, poured in place concrete retaining wall, reconstruction of 46 ft of existing 8” sewer, installation of 2 stormwater catchbasins and associated drainage piping, 84 feet of new guardrail installed in ground, 39 feet of guardrail installed on retaining wall, paving and all appurtenant work. This Contract shall be substantially completed on or before December 1, 2025
