Description:
The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is initiating a comprehensive Zero-Emission Bus (ZEB) Transition Plan Study (ZEB Transition Plan/Project). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and requirements for transitioning to a 100 percent zero-emission fleet and associated infrastructure. This effort includes updating OCTAs Zero-Emission Bus Rollout Plan, originally completed in 2020, in alignment with new technologies and regulatory expectations.To complete this work, OCTA is seeking proposals from Consultant teams with demonstrated expertise in:Transit operations and service planningZero-emission vehicle technologies (hydrogen fuel-cell and battery-electric)Transit facilities and depot-based fueling/charging infrastructureTransition planning from traditional fuels (CNG/unleaded) to zero-emission solutions (hydrogen fuel-cell and battery-electric)Additionally, Consultants must demonstrate:Familiarity with Orange Countys geography and long-term transportation trendsUnderstanding of the California Air Resources Board-s (CARB) Innovative Clean Transit (ICT) regulationCapacity to deliver the full study and updated ZEB Rollout Plan within an 18-month period
